Girls' Camps

Where girls connect with and learn from each other

Some camps cater to girls only. Some see girls' camp as a unique opportunity for girls to be in a supportive and learning environment, with strong women role models. Particularly for teens, some argue, girls' camps provide a place where girls can be more themselves, without the distraction of boys.

There are traditional residential or day camps that are girls only, as well as volleyball camps, basketball camps and many other kinds of camp for females only.

Certain specialty camps also offer programs exclusively for girls, particularly in areas or fields generally seen as male-dominated. So there are science and engineering camps just for girls to help them build self-confidence and skills in these areas. There are also adventure and sports camps just for girls.

Girls' camps are about enhancing the self-esteem and ability of girls, helping them to learn and grow and challenge themselves, in a supportive and nurturing place.
