On Sept. 18, Our Kids hosted the third annual Montreal Private School Expo at the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure.
This year’s expo, in partnership with the Quebec Association of Independent Schools (QAIS), brought 33 private schools and over 1,000 people together in this one-day event.
The informational seminars were packed as experts discussed hot topics such as English school eligibility under Bill 115, choosing a school and international trips.
Parents also had an opportunity to have one-on-one discussions with some of the top schools.
It surpassed last year’s event in attendance and overall satisfaction. The majority of the families that attended already had an English eligibility certificate, making them qualified to attend an English-language private school in Quebec.
Despite tight purse strings amid the sluggish economy, Montreal families were interested in looking into making an investment to find the right school for their children.
Parents and school representatives at the expo were unanimously positive about the event.
