Canada's Greenest School Contest

CGS Logo Hi 300x193 Canada's Greenest School ContestThe finalists for Canada’s Greenest School contest are in!  Halton Waldorf School in Burlington, Ontario, made the top 10 thanks to 13 budding artists.  To enter the contest, students were asked to upload songs, drawings or video explaining how they would make their school green if they were in charge.   Students from Mrs. White’s grade 6 and 7 art class submitted colourful artwork with images and poetry dedicated to an eco-friendly lifestyle.

From now until May 5 all of Canada can vote online for the grand prize winner.

The ‘Greenest School’ will receive a $3000 scholarship for the winning classroom, $500 in class supplies for the sponsoring teacher and a hybrid electric bus for the school.

The contest is sponsored by IC Bus Co., Canada’s largest integrated manufacturer of school buses.
