Helping families choose private schools and summer camps
Credit card debt across North America will soar this month and parents will scramble to find the gift(s) that will light up their children’s faces. But for how long? A couple hours? A few weeks at best? And is that really worth it? Which leads me to the question, when it comes to buying Christmas gifts for our kids, just “how much” is “too much”?
For many of us parents, Halloween is all about rushing back from the office early, making sure that there’s enough candy from the local Walmart to give away, rushing the kids through dinner so that you have enough time to get the kids dressed up in their nice costumes and out the door, to go door-to-door. But were you actually aware that Halloween has an interesting history, beyond just the commercially promoted “Trick-or-Treating” event?.
Many children only have the kitchen table – or even the floor to work at or on. Not only do their backs and eyes suffer but it’s also bad news for their concentration –and their enthusiasm for work.
Math provokes more feelings of anxiety and frustration than any other core subject for countless elementary and middle school students. However, in recent years, it appears that more and more parents are experiencing and even greater level of stress as they attempt to help their children with math homework. Has math advanced so much in elementary education that we, as parents, can no longer help our kids?
