When children enrol at Trinity College School, they not only join a highly-respected academic institution, they become part of a community like no other.
This co-educational independent school, one of the oldest in Canada, is also known for its focus on academics, service and the arts, as it is for its strong tradition of school spirit.
On a picturesque 100-acre campus in Port Hope, children are inspired to reach their true potential – academically, emotionally and socially – whether as a day student in the Junior School (Grade 5-8) or as a boarding or day student in the Senior School (Grade 9-12).
Leadership, arts, sports and service learning opportunities are all highly regarded at TCS. The college preparatory school attracts learners who set ambitious goals for themselves in academics and many areas of interests while, at the same time, focus on helping others.
With more than 250 of the students calling TCS “home,” a unique tight-knit community is woven into the fabric of the TCS experience.
“There is a ton of school spirit, mixed with thoughtfulness during class time as students focus on school work,” says Jennifer Boyko, Admissions Officer at TCS. “Students have mastered the art of balance, and mixing work and play in a perfect winning combination.”
Students have the freedom to immerse themselves in a vibrant school culture on a campus large enough to provide endless opportunities for involvement, yet small enough – with 590 students in total – to become a true part of it all, in the comfort and security of small-town surroundings.
Last year, the school marked a special milestone as the 20th anniversary of girls joining the TCS community. The celebration continues as TCS extends its scholarship program for the 2012-2013 school year to girls entering Grades 5-8 as a day student or Grade 9 as a boarding student. All those interested in a TCS education are invited to attend the school’s signature open-house event, Trinity in Action. Visitors can meet with the headmaster, faculty and students, while applicants have an opportunity to write the entrance test. Discover what TCS has to offer your child, March 31st and May 5.
