My Olympic View #5 – Alessia

On Wed night we went to the Sweden – Slovakia men’s hockey game.  We thought it would be an awesome game as Sweden was the defending Gold medalist.  Instead, as you can see from the picture, the first period was quite boring – that’s me in the black Canada hoodie.  The mascot entertainment was more exciting!  While we were at the game, my dad got a call that Maelle Ricker was at the Happiness House along with Mayor Gregor Robertson.  So we decided that we would head over there to try and meet them.  Of course, as we were walking out of the stadium we heard the crowd cheering – apparently Sweden had just scored!

When we arrived at the Happiness House Maelle had already left but we did get to meet Mayor Robertson.  He was a really nice guy and did something that I thought was really funny – he did a backflip over a coach so that he could get around the crowd!  Maybe he should have been an aerialist!

Anyway, now that we were at the Happiness House we decided to enjoy the concert that was going on – Bob Marley’s son was playing.  The crowd loved him!  Everyone was dancing and singing.

After the concert there were fireworks – that’s me sitting on my dad’s lap enjoying the gold medal fireworks!
