We all know that going to camp in the summer, traditional or day camp, can at first be a nerve racking for the kids. However, we also know that the adventures, memories and friendships they come home with can last a lifetime!
As you sit with them, listening to all their stories and looking at all their wonderful pictures has it occurred to you that some of their priceless moments caught on film, should be shared with the world?
The Toronto Waldorf School is still looking for camp kids. They’re recruiting the little ones from ages 4 to 14, Depending on the age bracket, they will be entertained by educational outdoor experiences like visiting Camp Kettelby, and the Albion Hills Conversation area where they have bicycle trails and a huge lake to swim in. The younger ones can enjoy nature walks, imaginative play,songs and stories. The camp runs from June 20th till August 19th weekly.
At first, the “bubble-wrapped” campers were only familiar with the digital realm of text messages, Facebook and video games. But by the end of camp, a new study found they experienced significant growth, connecting with the world beyond electronic screens and smartphones. Read the story and watch the videos.
