Mississauga Students are the Leaders of Tomorrow

We often hear that today’s youth are the leaders of tomorrow – but how often are they actually put to the test? Well the Knights of Columbus, St. Christopher’s Council is doing just that. In their city of Mississauga, Ontario, they’ve started the Leaders of Tomorrow program to encourage youth in their community to explore their passion for the city and take it upon themselves to discover what they can do to improve it. And to kick it off, they launched an essay contest that challenges middle and high-school aged students to answer “How I Would Make Mississauga a World Class City.”

The Design Exchange (DX), an internationally recognized non-profit educational organization that promotes greater awareness of design and its role in fostering economic growth and cultural vitality, is proud to announce the 16th Annual Sears Canadian High School Design Competition.

Aimed to promote the study of design disciplines in high schools across Canada, students of all ages (grades 10 and below in the ‘junior’ level and grades 11 and up in the ‘senior’ level) are encouraged to submit entries into one or more of four categories.
