TEDxIB@York is back – with passion, purpose and perspective. From a high-profile advocate for the wrongly convicted to an award-winning underwater film-maker, a fresh line-up of innovative minds gave their own TEDx talks today. Read Our Kids’ live-blog of the event.
But what was different about this TEDx was that of those guests, about two hundred were International Baccalaureate students from around the world. These high school students, who took part in their own version of TEDx Idol at The York School’s Speak Out Day on Nov. 10, are the idea-makers of the future, and revealed their own plans on how to improve the world.
Our Kids was lucky enough to be present at both events to witness the inspiration first-hand, and share them through our live coverage. But after more than a week of reflection, here are three exceptional student speakers from Speak Out Day, with their thoughts on the TEDx experience and the ideas they want to spread.
