But when Quebec’s public and private secondary schools were graded at the end of October, many schools weren’t happy with the process. They’ve even gone so far as to completely ignore the validity of the results. The Federation des commissions scolaires du Quebec (Quebec’s federation of school boards) stated that it will not recognize the Fraser Institute’s report and will not comment on any of the findings, saying they are misleading, subjective, and based on incomplete observations, including intervening factors outside the classroom like socioeconomic status, and parental education levels.
