Camp Challenge JROTC (LET) Levels 1 & 2*: These two Leadership programs remain the only credit-producing Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) summer leadership courses west of the Mississippi River. During these four-week courses, high school-aged participants, entering grades 9 through 12, focus on achievement as they work to overcome many physical and mental challenges while developing self-confidence as leaders and active, contributing team members.
In addition to developing leadership skills and enhancing their accountability, discipline, and respect, successful participants in Camp Challenge: JROTC Leadership enrich their academic transcripts by earning 180 hours of Leadership Education Training (LET) along with the respect of their staff mentors and teammates.
All Camp Challenge programs present formal leadership training through classroom instruction, community service, hands-on experiential learning opportunities, and off-site outdoor adventures.
*Successful completion of LET 1 is required before a student is eligible to take LET 2.
