Embark in Toronto and disembark in Brockville. Ask about group travel to and from ship. Can be picked up after workday for all voyages.
The Fair Jeanne is a 110' tall ship welcoming you to step aboard, throw off the bow lines and chart your way for adventure. Each voyage starts with icebreaker games and a safety orientation session. You will learn to sail and helm (that means steer), to climb aloft and set the sails, to learn about navigation and the weather. You will swim, play games, meet new friends and challenge yourself to try something new almost every day. It's true, as a member of the crew you do need to help with shipboard maintenance but the fun and games, and the music during Captain's clean up, make it all worth it.
While sleep is important you will have a turn at night watch (everyone loves it) and experience spectacular sailing on the St. Lawrence river and out into Lake Ontario. All Fair Jeanne voyages include a port visit or two so you may find yourself zip lining, playing soccer on the beach, visiting a city or building a skiff. Safe manning crew are Transport Canada certified and our junior youth crew have logged over 200 nautical miles aboard one of the ships.
All Fair Jeanne voyages qualify as a Duke of Edinburgh Award Adventurous Journey.
