Keith and Shawn Hadigate

Directors

Shawn and Keuth have been involved in camping for almost 50 years. Shawn statred at Camp Cherith as a camper and has been active in all areas of camp life. Keith spent his summers at a camp near Haliburton. He was involvd as a camper, staff, senior staff, out trip director and as a Board member.

Keith has a background in recreation and Outdoor Education and Shawn has a background in Special education.

They have 3 married daughters who are all active in camp.

We recognize that choosing a summer camp is an important decision. We will be delighted to answr any questions you may have regarding the uniqueness of Cherith camping.

Since 1954 Camp Cherith’s rich and diverse outdoor activities have helped campers aged 6 – 16 gain self confidence, develop leadership skills and grow socially and spiritually. Our Christian environment is an intentional integration of faith and activity. Customized programs are taught by positive role models in a small group, non competitive atmosphere that results in self-respect and appreciation for God and His creation. The outcomes of self-identity, self-worth, self-esteem and self-respect build personal competencies. These are reflected in the four "C's" of the Cherith community: compassion, Christ centred, commitment, and character!
