Dear Parents and Campers, Toronto Island Canoe Club Day Camp was started in 1993 by a group of parent volunteers. I am one of those parents and the picture here is my daughter after a canoe race. We started the camp with the goal to create a day camp where our children could experience the wonder of nature on the Island, learn it's stories and lore and have a fun, safe time becoming skilled paddlers. The camp has remained true to these aims and I continue to be involved on the Board of Directors. Knowing how to handle a canoe with confidence is one of life's most satisfying skills. I have been around boats since childhood, but it is canoes in particular that have given me and my family the fondest memories over the years. I wish the same for you! If you live in Toronto and are looking for a relaxed, welcoming day camp experience then our Island wilderness is the place for your child. We also offer family memberships in our canoe cooperative. Yes, you can have it all at Toronto Island Canoe Club, the wilderness at Toronto's doorstep. Per aquas ad fraternitatem/Through the waters to friendship!

The Island is a great place to learn recreational canoe skills (novice to solo) and Olympic sprint kayak/canoe. Friendly coaches are knowledgeable & creative; crafts, games & Island adventure round out each day. This well established day camp is on Wards Island. Member of Canoe Kayak Canada & Ontario Recreational Canoeing & Kayaking Association.
