EAs & ECEs welcome! Teacher Campers will have opportunities to explore and connect with our natural landscape by using our senses and creative approaches to investigate nature. During our morning hike learn about the way nature has rehabilitated itself. As a pioneer town, Whitevale has all kinds of history. This special community originally had a blacksmith shop, a mill, a hotel, and of course homes, to name a few sites still visible today. In honour of this incredible place campers will play pioneer games, create pioneer toys and dip candles. Peter Graf from Pangea Rhythm will join us after lunch for a drumming soundscapes session, as we relate to nature through rhythm. “Music is everywhere…All you have to do is listen.”
Note: Registration Fees:
One day $75 Two days $140 All Three days: $200
Lunch is provided.
**Programs run rain or shine. Programs may be altered depending on weather.
**Maximum of 25 people per session.

Dear Visitors,
I am really excited to share my passion for the great outdoors. At Natureways we share a special relationship with our surroundings. Fostering this relationship through the senses is key in developing an understanding, appreciation, and above all, respect for our surrounding natural landscapes.
During this electronic age it is important for humanity to remember where we came from to see clearly where we are going. Richard Louv's book, "Last Child in the Woods", talks about the "Nature Deficit Disorder". Children and adults need to reform their connection with nature. The benefits are boundless. Reducing our global footprint, recycling, conserving energy, stewardship, etc, mean more to people, and especially children, if they have developed that bond. At Natureways we are privileged to have such a great location to share fun and exciting outdoor programs.
Please join us at the Whitevale Festival on Saturday, May 25, 2013 to see the site for yourselves, join in the festivities, and meet the staff at our booth. At 1 pm a guided hike will be provided on the Seaton Trail. Please see the Events page for details.
See you on the trail.

Natureways was proudly re-opened in 2011 under a new owner, Monique Micallef.
This incredible camp was originally founded in 2003 and operated until 2008. Monique worked as an Outdoor Educator at Natureways during that time.
In 2012, Monique developed workshops for teachers, presenting at the OSEE EcoLinks Conference and DDSB teachers. She also added Fall Programs to enable campers to see how the landscape changes through the seasons.
In 2013, Adventure Packages were added to bring some of our most popular programs to your door step. These are ideal for birthday parties, family reunions, picnics, PA days, or just for the fun of it. Please see our website for details.
Natureways provides unique learning experiences that your children will want to talk about. During themed sessions campers will learn about plants, animals, fossils, river critters, survival skills, pioneers, do arts and crafts, visit farms, and much more while exploring the Seaton Hiking Trail in Whitevale. Natureways is working towards OCA accredation and has achieved all benchmarks and is in Provisional 2 Status.
