Spa Night for the Girls, Fishing for the Guys

It was my first time at Frontier Trails and I wasn't really sure what to expect. All the girls in my dorm kept talking about Spa Night. I wasn't really sure what that meant but when it finally came, I could see why they all loved it. The guys all went to the River for fishing and the girls all gathered at the main camp. We were greeted by one of the girl staff and told to take our shoes off, bring a towel and to have fun.
My group went to the foot baths first, it was so nice to soak our feet and relax. While we were soaking our feet, some counselors curled our hair, or straightened it, or braided it, whatever we wanted done. Then we moved on to the facials, it was my first time and my face was blue. We had fun making faces in the mirror. I also enjoyed soaking our hands, getting our nails painted, and of course eating the yummy treats. I know see why all the girls in my dorm where talking about Spa Night, the counselors did a great job of making us all feel special. And it was pretty cool to hang out with just the girls!

Wacky Wednesday's

Wacky Wednesday is my favorite day of the week at camp! Everyone dresses funny, especially the staff. This year it was Christmas in July and we used our snowflake crafts to decorate the dining room, we even made a Christmas tree. At lunch we had to eat our soup from a cup and our juice from a bowl, there was even gummie worms in the jello. In Horsemanship we played basketball with the horses. My favorite part of the day was when everyone went to the river for supper. We roasted hotdogs, made smores, and had campfire there. I especially liked the crazy canoe races. Our canoe was the first one to sink, so we made it our mission to sink everyone else's. Everyone got soaked, even the staff. Wacky Wednesday's are the best!

Friday Night Talent Shows

My friend and I were so excited for the Talent Show on Friday Night. I had been waiting all week for it to come and I had been practising every chance I could. It was awesome! The campers did skits, sang songs, danced, and even did some practical jokes. The Counselors signed up as well. My favourite part of the whole night was at the end. All the Counselors and Staff came on to the stage. All we could see were their backs but you could tell they had some crazy costumes on. They sang, "€œIf I were not a Counselor"€. It was so funny. There was a fireman, a teacher, a ranger, and even a tree. It was alot of fun and made me realise how much fun my counselors were. I could tell the staff enjoyed it just as much as we did. What a great way to spend the last night of camp.

Campout

I'd never slept in a tent before so I was kind of nervous, but all of my friends were going and I didn't want to miss out. So after campfire all the guys who were going on the campout piled onto the train and headed to the river. We were all really excited, Sam even brought his food from tuck with him - just in case we got hungry. We had a campfire, and roasted marshmallows until the counselors made us get in our tents to settle down for the night. Well, that didn't last too long. We spent most of the night trying to scare our counselors. It was great! The next morning the counselors got us up really early to head back to the camp for breakfast. It was so much fun but man was I tired that day. Next year I'm going again but I might actually spend the night sleeping in a tent.

Caring

My daughter attended your camp for horsemanship 3. This was her first time attending and when we came to pick her up, she did not want to leave. On behalf of my husband and I, we just wanted to thank you for providing such a beautiful camp with all of the various activities and especially the aspect of religion and singing songs, together with the rodeo day that you provided on Saturdays. That was very special to us and the meal was great. We find she is more respectful and caring. She truly has benefited from the experience at your camp and we know that she valued the time and freedom she had with the horses. She intends to come to camp for a month next year and we sure won't stop her from going! Keep up the good work and see you next year.

Camp Truly Outdid itself

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone there. My daughter, Madison, had a fabulous time there this past week! She has been raving about it ever since. She has attended camp for the past 2 years and your camp truly outdid the other one. She will definitely be returning next year!

I want to thank you

I am very happy that I could join camp this year! I had alot of fun! I don't only want to thank you two for giving me a week of happiness, I want to thank every single counselor! Yes! All of them! If it hadn't been for all of you, then I wouldn't have had fun at all! I really enjoyed camp! I miss singing all the wonderful songs especially "I Just wanna be a sheep, Baa Baa"! Those lessons made me understand alot of important things! I made some great friends this year at camp! I'm going to miss you guys a whole lot! I am coming to camp again next year! I think I am going to stay for two-three weeks next year! I miss you guys so much. Thank you very much for all the enjoyment of last week!! Oh and Dave, I really enjoyed your lessons in the morning!!
