CIMC music camp offers a specialized ESL Camp for students who wish to learn English in one of the most beautiful parts of Canada. Designed for children ages 7-16, the camp welcomes all levels of English speakers. Spots are based on first-come first-serve basis. In order to get the full benefit of the program, we recommend that campers attend a minimum of two weeks, however one week participation will be a great experience as well. To ensure students get the personal attention they need, camp is limited to no more than 20 students per week.

Whether you want to attend camp to concentrate on English, or learn some English while participating in the piano program – both options are available to you. Each day campers can choose between Piano or English lessons, and then the remainder of the day is spent doing fun traditional camp activities and visiting local attractions. Whether you are focussing on piano or English both groups will participate in the daily alternative activities.

In addition to English language education, some of the favourite activities include:

  • Crystal Crescent Beach – one of the most beautiful, white sand beaches in Canada with lifeguards

  • Peggy’s Cove – the most famous and historical Lighthouse in Canada

  • City of Halifax – Tour of famous Citadel Fort, Waterfront boardwalk, Shopping Centre

  • City of Lunenburg – World United Nations Heritage Site, Famous Bluenose ship, Fisherman’s Historic Museum, 3-hour Whale Watching Tour

  • Horse back Riding

  • Other Day Trip Options – White Water Rafting, New Ross Farm and Museum, Lobster Festivals, Go-Carts, Mini-golf,

  • On-Site sports – Basketball, Volleyball, Scavenger hunts,

  • Evening outdoor bon-fires with food, sing-alongs, etc.

  • Bay of Fundy Tide Times: Nova Scotia is not complete without witnessing the incredible tides of the Bay of Fundy. Each day, twice a day, 160 billion tonnes of seawater flow in and out of it, creating one-of-a-kind adventures that literally can't be had any place else on earth!

There are lots of activities for the students. As camp hosts we will always be with them. Rates include all costs for events including transportation and all food. Students will be supervised at all times and it will be mandatory that they wear their camp bright-coloured shirts at all times when off-site.  Students are welcome to bring cameras, however each child on their last day will be given a photo binder as a souvenir with photos of all events.
