On July 24th, Toronto's newest LEGO-themed facility opened to the public in the York Mills neighborhood of Toronto. The 4200+sqft plus facility offers space for builders 5 years and up to create, innovate and explore their inner brickness.
In addition to drop-in times, Brick Labs Inc. offers afterschool and weekend clubs, party facilities, and educational and recreational field trips. With 4 themed labs and an awesome lobby display there is something for everyone. From the moment you walk in you know this is a special place. The staff, known as Brick Technicians (Brick Techs) have all been trained to support the values of this family owned business...Trying is Learning, Collaboration Leads to Better, Imagination is Powerful, and Effort is Exponential. Everyone is made to feel special.
But Brick Labs is not only for children, there is Club 92, a once a week gathering of adult brick enthusiasts, and special events for them to display their own models. Brick Labs is the only facility in Canada to have dedicated LEGO Serious Play (LSP) facilitation space for corporate clients. LSP is a 3D modeling technique used for small group facilitations. John Neretlis, Lab Director, is one of only a few dozen Certified LSP facilitators in the country.
Brick Labs estimates that there are around a million bricks on display and available for clients to use at the facility.
While already open, they are planning their "Grand Opening" event for October 3rd. Brick enthusiasts of all ages are invited to drop in for some food, fun and a tour of the facility. To book an event , register for a club or more information visit www.bricklabs.ca or call 416 901-1390.
