On February 20th, 2015, Mississauga School of Music - MSoM's Jonathan Lanson was invited to perform for city officials, at the Living Arts Centre. The event was to commemorate funding for a new sound system the LAC. Jonathan received outstanding praise for his renditions of Sonata in G Major by Beethoven and Study by Mendelssohn.
Jonathan is already quite an accomplished MSoM musician at 13 years of age. He won several music scholarships, and placed 1st at Peel Music Festival and Kiwanis Music Festival. He also won Best in Class and Platinum awards at Kiwanis Music Festival, and was invited on two occasions to compete at the Provincial Music Competition. Jonathan is currently studying at the Grade 9 RCM level. He will compete at the Kiwanis Music Festival in the next few weeks. www.msom.ca
