SEVENTEEN & 360 Student Travel Launch New Fashion Program in NYC

14-DAY FASHION AND TRAVEL PROGRAM FOR TEENS

 

NEW YORK, November 17, 2015 – Seventeen, the largest monthly teen media brand, today announced a partnership with 360° Student Travel, a summer tour operator for teens, to launch the Seventeen 360° Student Travel Fashion Experience, a 14-day program in New York City for teens who dream of living in the city and working in the fashion industry. The program will feature a mix of informational and inspirational sessions from the editors of Seventeen, top fashion brands, and more. There will be two sessions, July 10–July 23 and July 24–August 6, both featuring the same itinerary.

The Seventeen 360° Student Travel Fashion Experience will bring dreams to life as participants get exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the world of Seventeen, meet with notable executives, designers, and artists of leading companies in fashion and retail, and experience unique tours, all while achieving a greater understanding of the inner workings of Seventeen.

Hearst Tower, where Seventeen is headquartered, will serve as the main meeting place for activities alongside fashion and beauty houses, retail headquarters, and makeup and photography studios.

Programming will include a day in the life of a Seventeen editor, where participants will learn about an editor’s vision, the magazine’s visual direction, and the process of publishing an issue, from assigning articles to selecting cover models and more. Participants will also go behind the scenes at a Seventeen photo shoot and get a sneak peek of what really goes into a fashion spread before it hits newsstands. Other highlights include tours of top fashion brand headquarters, a lesson on the world of color forecasting, meetings with hair and cosmetics artists, interactions with apparel, shoe and accessory designers, an introduction to the world of fashion public relations, an afternoon at the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and a Broadway show.

In addition, participants will visit landmark neighborhoods and destinations including Central Park, Times Square, SoHo, Fifth Avenue, the High Line, Chelsea Market, the Meatpacking District, Brooklyn Flea, and Brooklyn Smorgasburg.
