Take 1 – scene study class where students learn how to effectively break down a script as well as how personalize the character’s journey in order to overcome obstacles of the scene and win a specific objective or goal. This dynamic and compelling way of performing opens up new actors to their innate abilities and gives them a good idea of the study and scriptwork involved in acting for film and television
Take 2 -. Week 2 will provide students with the opportunity to learn about the ins and outs of the acting business including, the roles of agents and casting directors, how to book commercials, casting room etiquette, improv, what to expect on set, how to perform for the camera, how to take direction.
Each week is separate and will end with taping of the scenes worked one. These scene tapings could be easily recorded using an app such as My SelfTape. This would provide students with a useable tool for showcase or promotion.
