July 3-6 (4 day camp)

Travel to distant planets, create new constellations through stories and art, and draw inspiration from the night sky as we experiment with both new and familiar materials. Let your imagination soar as we investigate the planets, stars and solar system, and begin to ponder what else there is to discover. End of week showcase.
Imagine and make! This hands-on camp is perfect for any young maker who wants to   experiment with a variety of tools and materials to make things move, light up, and do other amazing things. Taught by a local maker legend, through creative thinking, teamwork and a whole lot of imagination, campers will have the opportunity to learn about arduinos, coding, and so much more! Last year, campers made a working hovercraft! End of week showcase.

July 8-13

Pack your bag and get ready to be inspired! We will travel the world to explore a different part of the globe each day, creating magnificent masterpieces based on both traditional and contemporary art being made in each area we journey to (and trying some of the food from each place)! End of week gallery.
Learn basic fashion drawing, and create clothing by combining fabrics, beads, buttons, lace, and other materials. Students have fun while learning to make their own wardrobes and accessories – includes a field trip to a local second-hand store to collect materials and inspiration! End of week Fashion Show

July 15-20

Adventure awaits as we discover what exists below the surface of the earth. Myths and stories will inspire our imaginations and guide us as we explore geology and invent creatures and underground worlds through visual art, drama and story-telling in this exciting camp. End of week showcase.
The beginning of film exploration, where students learn to write, storyboard, shoot, and act in a               short film, all in one week! A great way to develop a love of film and to express ideas through the magic of movies! End of week Film Fest.

July 22- 27

Dive into the deep to discover real and imagined sea creatures as we experiment with drawing, painting and sculpture techniques inspired by stories and science. Keep an eye out for pirates as we search for sunken treasure in this imaginative workshop. End of week showcase.
Become a “triple threat”– acting, singing and dancing! Under the guidance of our professional     actors, campers will explore acting, vocal and dance technique. They will work on time-honoured musical theatre pieces, for an end-of-week performance!

July 29- Aug 3

Exploring the natural surroundings and fauna of Ross Creek’s field, forest and wetlands, we will draw and paint what we see around us and imagine in art and stories what quirky characters might live in the grasses, trees and waters. End of week showcase.
Try your hand at various styles and techniques of animation. Campers will work in small groups            to create their own micro-sets and characters and bring them to life through the magic of film. End of week Film Fest.
