An important dimension of Sans Souci is the Centre's completely bilingual atmosphere. Sans Souci's camper population is approximately half francophone and half anglophone, giving all campers an excellent opportunity to learn a second language.
Sans Souci's extensive facilities provide the scope for many types and levels of riding instruction and experience. The Centre sports five outdoor riding rings lit for evening riding, a 20X60 dressage ring, a natural huntcourse and a beautiful cross-country course. A large indoor arena, with adjoining stable and tackroom, is available for use during inclement weather.
Accomodations for the campers are comfortable and cozy. The cabins sleep six and have their own bathrooms with showers in each room.
A favourite spot on hot days is the attractive graded swimming pool which is supervised at all times by a certified lifeguard.
Sans Souci has received a four out of four star rating from the Quebec Ministry of Tourism for its site, accomodations and services.
In addition to a two hour lesson each day, our campers spend another two hours learning about stable management. Each camper is assigned his/her own horse or pony to care for completely for the duration of their stay. Fulfilling this responsibility under the close supervision of an instructor, campers learn handling, feeding, grooming, stable maintenance and manners, care of riding equipment and diagnosis and treatment of minor ailments.
Sans Souci is a paradise for children who love horses, featuring an eight week summer camp from June through August. Riding instruction is offered at all levels from beginner to advanced. Each camper is placed in small class of about six riders, suited to his or her experience and ability. To maximize the camper' enjoyment and progress the riding program is a healthy blend of serious instruction and lively recreation. Campers have a two hour riding lesson every day. An exciting climax to the camper's stay is a horseshow to which parents and friends are invited.
