Traditional Leadership Programs are a fantastic way for teens to develop leadership skills to be used throughout their lives.  Experienced campers will love the additional challenge and new campers will enjoy having fun while being treated like a responsible young adult.  These month long sessions aim to introduce teens to a variety of concepts like self-awareness and self regulation, group dynamics and communication, self-confidence and problem solving.

Traditional Leadership sessions are split into three age groups,

  • Junior for 13 & 14 year olds,
  • Intermediate for 15 year olds, and
  • Senior for 16 year olds.

This ensures that programs are developmentally appropriate and provide the right mix of fun, challenge and learning so every camper goes home with lots of great stories and even more personal growth.

Traditional camp experiences can be used as a way to help get a job or to take on a leadership role in the community, at school or on a sports team.  They spend the majority of their time at camp participating in traditional camp activities and practicing leadership in placements with younger campers.  All participants will also take part on a 5-14 day camping trip off of our main site.  Working as a small group to thrive in the wilderness will help consolidate each campers learning and give them opportunities to practice their leadership skills.
