There are many excellent private schools in Mississauga, Ontario. Each school comes with its own unique advantages, but they all typically share common distinct benefits, such as the following:

  • Small class sizes are an important aspect of private schools. Simply put, the smaller the class, the more attention your child receives and the more likely that his or her education is suitable for his or her learning styles.
  • Students have a plethora of opportunities to develop into well-rounded individuals at private schools. These schools provide plenty of extra-curricular activities and diverse in-class projects.

Living and Going to School in Mississauga

Mississauga is a bustling city that has especially grown over the last couple of decades. It has one of Canada’s largest malls, the Square One Shopping Centre, and many other great places to take your family. In a 2011 study, Mississauga ranked fourth on a list of North America and South America’s “large cities of the future.” It is a safe, smart place to live with a young family.

Most areas in Mississauga are also Go Train accessible. As such, you and your family can affordably and easily enjoy numerous attractions across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

  • Many private schools in Mississauga allocate some money to scholarships and bursaries. Make sure to apply early for either of these grants! Each school does not provide the same percentage of paid tuition through scholarships and bursaries.
  • Faith-based private schools are usually less expensive than other types of private schools are. In addition, paying for your child to go to one of these schools may qualify as a charitable donation for which you will, of course, receive a tax break.
  • If you send your child to a private school for students with special needs, you may be eligible for a medical tax break.
  • Many community-based charities like the Rotary Club, for example, may assist you in paying for your child’s private school tuition, especially if the local education options are inadequate for your child.
