Canada's largest Private School Expo is coming soon to Vancouver! The event takes place Sunday November 15th at the Westin Bayshore, with 25 schools and as many as 500 families expected to attend. This marks the third time the event has been held in Vancouver and is the fourth such expo held this year in Canada, with previous events having been held in Toronto, Oakville and Montreal.

One parent who attended last year’s event praised the expo as a kind of one-stop browsing experience. “It saved me a lot of time. I was able to get more information about schools in one spot. [The Expo] is a must for parents researching educational options for their children.”

Media and families are invited to attend the Vancouver Private School Expo to find out about the value of a private education. Expos in Toronto, Oakville and Montreal earlier this year met with enthusiasm, with parents calling the events “very well organized” and a “great opportunity.” Get informed about private education!

Information sessions at the expos are extremely helpful to parents, who often exclaim that these are “excellent.” Robin Hinnell, executive director of Independent Schools Association of BC (ISA-BC), will be speaking at the Vancouver Expo.

Presentations at this year’s expo will include the following:
• How to choose a school offers parents a step-by-step approach to choosing the right school for your child. There are many factors to consider when choosing a school, and what may be a great school for your neighbour’s child may not be the best fit for yours.
• How to pay for private school, presented by financial experts, tells you how to work education costs into your budget and offers details about incentives like tax benefits, grants and scholarships.
• Boarding Schools — An opportunity of a lifetime challenges parents to fully consider this option. Boarding schools today offer tremendous advantages. The session offers a peek into life at boarding school and identifies some of the common myths causing parents to miss an opportunity to give their children a great gift.
