CELEBRATING OUR UNITED NATIONS - A Global Adventure
Stanstead College students will share their cultural diversity with area elementary students during "Celebrating Our United Nations", a day-long event of activities and educational opportunities
Grade 6 students from 10 English and French schools in Quebec's Eastern Townships and neighbouring Vermont will have a chance to enrich their knowldege of geography, language, history, social sciences and community through games and activities lead by Standstead's own international students.
The day's events will be structured to allow your students to go on a global journey, developing an understanding of different cultures along the way. The students will receive a passport for their journey which they will have validated as they participate in each activity: taste-testing new cuisine, listineing to music, learning new languages, creating unique crafts, playing games and seeing traditional dress.
