Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada National Registration Week — September 8-16, 2007

Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada offers a positive experience for girls today.

The Girl Guide program has always been about leadership development, self-esteem, taking risks, making friends and having fun in a safe environment. The programs help girls become more confident and capable of achieving their goals. Guiding encourages girls aged 5-17+ to participate in a number of exciting and challenging activities in a safe environment.

In Guiding units all across Canada, girls are learning to camp and horseback ride. They're snowboarding and advocating for the environment, planting trees, enjoying the outdoors and cooking over campfires. They're sailing, singing, acting, dancing, and designing and creating clothing. They're traveling overseas and performing community service in their own communities.

Girl Guides' activity-based, flexible program appeals to girls with varied interests. In Guides, girls do a little bit of everything.

Consider becoming a Leader or introducing a girl in your life to Girl Guides of Canada. Empower her with new friends, new skills and new adventures.
