Dr. Jane Goodall Coming to Toronto

Meet crusader for conservation and UN Messenger of Peace Dr. Jane Goodall this September 2007. Three exciting events to learn about Africa, the need to protect it's great apes and wildlife and how to support Canadian youth taking action.

Dr. Jane Goodall will be available to sign books at the end of each event.

Join Jane Goodall and Friends
September 14, 7:30pm to 10pm. Windsor Arms Hotel, Toronto

Meet Dr. Jane Goodall at this intimate celebration of the Jane Goodall Institute's 30th anniversary. This special cocktail reception will feature the tastes and sounds of Africa, sales of Shona stone sculptures and a silent auction featuring African and Canadian art.

Gombe and Beyond
September 15, 7pm, Convocation Hall, University of Toronto

At this special presentation Dr. Goodall will speak about the successes and challenges of the past 30 years, and about the critical need to protect Africa's great apes and other wildlife species in the face of mounting pressures. Presented by the Centre for Environment, University of Toronto, and the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada.

Youth campaign workshop
September 16, 10am-4pm, University of Toronto

Kicking off a youth action workshop for university and senior high school activists interested in leading a national youth campaign for the Jane Goodall Institute's Roots & Shoots program. Roots & Shoots is a global network of youth working to create positive change. It provides training, resources and support for youth taking action. Interested?
