My daughter excels in the visual arts. She has wanted to attend a residential high school in Toronto for many years, and is very interested in what programs you may have available, especially focusing on animation and graphic design.
To start, if your daughter is interested in a residential school, you may be interested in learning more about boarding school as an option here: http://www.ourkids.net/boarding-schools.php
Our Advanced School Search tool on our website can also help you search for schools with more criteria, such as arts programs: http://www.ourkids.net/school/school-search.php
You may also be interested in attending any of the upcoming Private School Expos this fall where you can meet face-to-face with a number of different private schools all in one place as well as attend information seminars. Many parents find this helpful to learning more about private school education and narrowing down their choices: http://www.ourkids.net/expo/
The reason for considering the option of private school for my 12 year old daughter is due to very low grades. However, I am aware that many of the private schools requires the child to complete an assessment. If the results are low will this reduce the number of schools entry acceptance?
