ISAK’s Nepali students, Karma, Sangita and Himanshu, launched ISAK‘s ProjectNEPAL, a fundraising effort to help victims of Nepal’s devastating April 25, 2015 earthquake. The students’ efforts have helped to raise awareness about the situation in Nepal and their crowd-funding campaign has generated over $20,000 for their relief effort. ISAK aims to educate future change-makers who will make a difference in their home countries and beyond. ProjectNEPAL is just one of the many types of community service ISAK students have initiated since the school opened its doors in August of 2014. The money raised for ProjectNEPAL has been used for supplies, medicine, and the reconstruction efforts for a school in one of the hardest hit areas.
All ISAK students participate in regularly scheduled service activities in the Karuizawa experience so they can gain experience creating positive in the world around them.
