Bowl-to-Build Pledge Drive
Our Bowl-to-Build campaign has come to an end, and we have lots to be thankful for!
It is with grateful hearts that we announce $33,507 has been raised in support of our Technology and Playground needs.
We give thanks as we recognize the efforts of our JKCS community. It was great to see close to 100% of our families participate in making this fundraising event a success.
We too give thanks for your generosity, and the generosity of your friends, families, neighbours, co-workers, and other supporters. Their contribution impacts our children today and those still to come.
We give thanks for the donation of wristbands given to us by Alpha Marketing, this resulted in students, teachers, and staff all being armed with the word of God.
We give thanks for the generous donation from First Student Canada, who provided transportation to and from our event. We greatly appreciate their contribution, and care for our students.
We are thankful to the many families who donated to the prize table, displays and who gave support during our morning of bowling. Your care for our community is valued and cherished.
We thank God for His goodness to us. Please join us in our prayers of thankfulness.

Technology
Our goal is to purchase 30 iPads for our students in Junior Kindergarten to Grade Four. This technology will give our junior students the opportunity to experience:
• An enhanced curriculum through educational apps
• New learning tools supporting various learning styles
• Better research tools
• Improved literacy
• New opportunities for creativity and sharing
Playground
Have you seen our playground master plan? It is a multiyear plan, and its progress is dependent upon funds raised. Last year, groundbreaking work took place at the west end of the schoolyard. Phase I of our playground project also included a new running track, jumping pits, and new and improved soccer fields.
Phase II is dependent on funds raised. We have the potential to expand our elementary play space, create an elementary soccer field, and increase natural play areas to stimulate creativity and exploration should funds permit.
Continued fundraising efforts will be required in order to fulfill Phase II.
Our mission statement is “Igniting Wonder in God, Neighbour, and Creation.” This statement is a constant source of inspiration as we work towards Phase II. Thank you for investing in this innovative project to combine learning, nature, and play!
