SPUR is Canada's innovative national festival of politics, art and ideas. As part of a select group of young scholars at the SPUR Festival, Dragon seniors will experience what university education could be. We'll engage with Canada's top thinkers and scholars, explore new subjects and areas of study that are shaping the future of our city, our country and our world. We'll talk with experts in economics, public policy, Canadian studies, political science, mathematics and astrophysics, environmental science and the arts.
An extraordinary opportunity to engage in critical thinking on critical issues, SPUR organisers at the Literary Review of Canada (our leading periodical of ideas) have reached out to Dragon students for their inaugural Young Scholars events. This year's theme, "Signal versus Noise" is of particular relevance to Dragon's emphasis on critical theory and media literacy, and to engaging our students with real-world issues, the "wicked problems" that they will have to address and solve.
