Halton Regional Police Officer Mary Repta
On Monday, January 16th, the Grade 8 class was visited by Officer Mary Repta from the Halton Police Department. Since the Grade 8's have just begun their health unit on Substance Abuse, Officer Repta discussed the effects of different types of drugs to help inform our decision making so we can make good choices if ever faced with any of these situations. She also spoke to us about cyber-bullying and the long term consequences that it can have. We appreciate Officer Repta taking the time to come in and speak to us. Students had many thoughtful questions and everyone learned a lot!
