Each fall we hold an encampment with all of our youth participating in exciting team building activities and challenge courses that are taught by a passionate team of edcational outdoor instructors. Students at Turning Winds Academic Institute get to participate The kids and staff will compete to see who can build the best camp, design the most original flags and other outdoor features.
There will be five- six teams with approximately 5-6 students in each team participating collectively in each of the team build initiatives: 3-D Spider web; obstacle course; trust fall & tepee shuffle; the tight-line, first aid and fire building with bow drills. The events are meant to inspire, challenge and empower our youth to work together to complete objectives outside of the four walls of the classroom. It truly is a remarkable experience for all involved!
