Waldorf alumni transition successfully to many high schools in the GTA and go on to achieve exceptional marks and are actively involved inside and outside of school. A recent grad was accepted into the Because I am a Girl Speakers Bureau. She is 1 out of 80 girls that have been accepted in Canada. A large part of her success she attributes to the grade 8 project. The grade 8 project is an independent project that requires a student pick a topic they are passionate about or want to learn more about. Over several months they research experientally and meet on a regular basis with a mentor. The final presentation is an oral presentation for 20 minutes to an adult audience of 150 with 10 minutes of Q & A. It was this experience that instilled a confidence for public speaking and a passion to serve those that may require advocacy!
Grade 8 projects are presented for 3 nights prior to the March Break holiday and all are welcome to attend.
