The Giles School is a co-ed, French immersion independent school with programs starting at age 2 and extending to Grade 8. Small classes offer enriched interaction that focuses on the unique needs of each child. A nurturing Adlerian approach uses positive reinforcement to build lasting character. A period a day of Mandarin is introduced in Grade 1, making The Giles School one of the most engaging language schools in Canada.
Children in the Giles French immersion programme display superior academic performance across all subjects, including English. Admissions are on a first come, first served basis with no admissions testing—any child can excel in the Giles programme. Early exposure to the comprehensive curriculum increases students’ learning potential and academic achievement.
The Giles School begins the French immersion programme right at the preschool level. The Pre-Kindergarten programme is activity-based and founded on play with the goal of encouraging social development, sensorial and cognitive development, and French language development. Students are accepted in PK through Grade 1 with no previous French experience.
