Head of School
Welcome to Bayview Glen, a unique, co-educational and multicultural university preparatory day school. The heart of a Bayview Glen education is the pairing of high academic standards with truly thoughtful programmes and activities for students and their families.
Bayview Glen is committed to fostering a sense of community between students, parents, teachers and staff. We pride ourselves on communication with our parents and on establishing a true partnership between home and school. We depend on our parents for honest and consistent feedback – in this relationship we feel fortunate indeed – and we work hard to maintain it.
The programme goal is to develop the whole child by nurturing self-esteem, leadership, academic excellence and independence. Each day, in Bayview Glen’s secure and supportive learning environment, our students discover new experiences for both challenge and success.
Our advanced academic programme is balanced with a strong music and arts programme, languages, physical education, Outdoor Adventure, Duke of Edinburgh Programme; and co-curricular activities, including an art festival, drama productions, choirs, bands, and extensive team sports.
As a member school of Round Square, we have a strong focus on international understanding. Our students participate regularly in community service and character-building life experiences, locally and abroad. A Bayview Glen education is rich with diverse learning experiences and opportunities for personal achievements. Our faculty and resources make it possible for all students to meet these high expectations.
Founded in 1962, Bayview Glen is a co-educational, multicultural, university preparatory day school. Our programmes are enhanced to offer our students from age 2 to university entrance a highly challenging academic, athletic, and character-building educational experience. As an Advanced Placement school, we balance this academic rigor with a strong Music and Arts programme and a comprehensive co-curricular programme. Bayview Glen is committed to fostering a sense of community that includes students, parents, faculty and staff. The goal of the programme is to develop the whole child by nurturing self-esteem, leadership, academic excellence and independence within a secure and supportive learning environment. The cornerstone of a Bayview Glen education is its membership in Round Square, a worldwide association of schools on five continents. The Round Square IDEALS of Internationalism, Democracy, Environment, Adventure, Leadership and Service are woven into the fabric of the school. This adds the international dimension and experiential approach to education so necessary in today’s education of global citizens and future leaders. This global perspective is an important legacy for all Bayview Glen students.
