Head of School
When I was a young teacher recently graduated from teachers college, I had a dream that I could establish a school that would nurture its students intellectually, academically and emotionally. There would be both Montessori programs and progressive private school classes to meet the needs of a diverse community of learners. Above all, there would be an atmosphere of respect, high behavioural standards, and outstanding academics, sports and arts programs. In short, my ideal school would provide students with the very best education possible, addressing the learning needs of the whole child.
I was both thrilled and anxious in 1987 as my school had its genesis in a church hall in east Brampton. There were just sixteen students enrolled in the very first September, but over a very short period of time, Tall Pines School school grew beyond my wildest dreams. Today, we have over 450 students, from age 9 months to 14 years, in a modern state of the art facility which includes 27 classrooms, sports fields, five playgrounds, a full sized gymnasium and a full complement of amazing teachers. Every year, new families bring their children to us as a result of a recommendation from friends or family, and it has been amazing that so many families have helped support the vision that I had in 1987. At this highly regarded destination school, students grow to their potential in rich, enhanced programs offering both Montessori philosophy (9 months to Grade 8) and Progressive Private School classes (K to Grade 8). With leadership skills, independence, creativity, athletics and exceptional academics which include AIM French, Multimedia Studies and the Arts, students from Tall Pines School are prepared for lifelong success. It's the school experience children love, the education their future demands.
Tall Pines School is a private Montessori/Traditional / academic day school in Brampton, Ontario and city2, . The school offers programs for grades Nursery to 8 with enrolment of 480 day students.
