Principal
On February 1, 2013 I officially assumed the position of principal at the Alexander von Humboldt German International School. I had already arrived in Montreal prior to the Christmas holidays, therefore I could not only enjoy the first days of winter but was also given a chance to settle into life at AvH step by step. Thanks to the warm welcome that our school extends to newcomers, and not only to new principals, the transition was an easy one for me. For this I would like to thank the entire school community very much.
I look forward to working with our students - some of whom I will teach in the subjects of French and Geography - working with our teachers and staff, parents, the board of directors and with all who have ties with this great school. Thomas Linse Principal AvH is a trilingual (German, English, French) independent private school that welcomes students from Preschool to Grade 12. It was founded in 1980 with the goal of providing students a multilingual environment while satisfying both German as well as Quebec education requirements. The dynamic learning environment provides our students with challenge, encouragement, and a high standard of pedagogical support. The friendly atmosphere fosters the personal and individual development of all our students.
Alexander von Humboldt German International School is a private Traditional / academic day school in Baie d'Urfé, Montreal, Quebec. The school offers programs for grades PK to 12 with enrolment of 320 day students. Alexander von Humboldt German International School has an average class size of 12 to 25 students and has a tuition cost of $3,900 to $9,000.
