The Vanguard School was founded in 1966 to serve the needs of students with a variety of learning disabilities and attention deficit disorder. The school provides a safe and secure, but appropriately demanding, environment in which students who have been unsuccessful in regular school programs are able to learn and achieve. Classes are small (between eight and 12 students) and individual tutorials are available to enhance classroom instruction. Residence halls are supervised 24 hours per day.
