Glenburnie School’s active, child-centred education connects theory and practice in relevant and meaningful ways. Focus is on the development of 21st Century skills and core values, through individualized, integrated academic studies. Students from PK to Grade 8 experience an exceptional broad-based educational program in maths and sciences, economics, French instruction, and The Arts (Orff, vocal, choral, instrumental, drama, and visual arts). Our well-rounded education nurtures creativity, character development, and effective communication skills, with our educators working in partnership with our students and their parents. State-of-the-art technology is integrated with activities that include time management, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and gifted education. Physical education, intramural, and varsity sports activities focus on skill development, team work, and competitive experiences. Glenburnie’s Awareness program which promotes effective thinking and learning is based on recent neuroscience research emphasizing personal choice, initiative, and responsibility. Glenburnie’s mission is to effectively prepare students to confidently meet the challenges and opportunities they will face in our rapidly changing world. Students in Grade 8 can earn high school credits online through Canada eSchool.
