I am delighted that you are interested in exploring our website to find out more about Greenwood College School. Greenwood is one of the great success stories within Toronto’s independent school community.

Since opening our doors in 2002, we have grown from 72 students to our projected enrolment in 2012-2013 of around 430 students in Grades 7-12. It is extremely gratifying to know we have achieved our highest retention rate this year, and again, had a record number of new students and families decide to enrol at Greenwood.

Although our enrolment has grown, we remain a small school with a strong emphasis on the values of community, and both collective and individual excellence. Those values obviously resonate with students and parents alike: Greenwood has seen growing interest in our program and an extraordinary commitment from our current families, who are our best ambassadors.

We attribute this commitment from parents and students to our educational approach, which focuses on preparing students for the 21st century, and tapping into the immense human potential that lies within every individual. Greenwood also continues to invest significant time and resources on the expansion of our professional learning model and the school’s capacity to meet the needs of individual learners.

If you’re new to Greenwood, we encourage you to learn about us in as many ways as you can. Use this website to become better acquainted with how we work and learn. Watch our video, Teaching and Learning at Greenwood, where you will hear first hand about life at Greenwood, and how students’ individual abilities are recognized, supported, challenged and celebrated by our outstanding staff.
