Established in 1978, Robert Land Academy (RLA) is a highly structured, not-for-profit boarding school providing a safe, healthy living and learning environment for boys in grades 6 through 12. The military model reinforces the importance of organization, teamwork and discipline. Dedicated faculty provide 24-hour supervision and caring guidance to assist students in developing self-confidence through genuine academic achievement and personal maturation. Each boy's level of health and fitness is greatly improved through proper diet and exercise, resulting in an improved attitude toward life and its challenges. This positive attitude, combined with concentrated academic remediation, tutorials and mandatory, supervised study halls, invariably results in a fresh opportunity for success and a healthy self-image.
RLA is a school for teaching spirited boys. Our program has demonstrated significant success with boys who are not working to their potential and have experienced difficulties related to attitude, concentration, focus or respect. Many have also been previously diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, ODD or other Learning Disabilities. The majority of students experience an increase of at least one letter grade in their marks within their first year at RLA; with 100 per cent of our graduates who apply earning admission to college or university.
