    St. Anthony Blessing

    Fr. Michael Sajda, President of St. Francis High School official Blessed the newly constructed St. Anthony Residence during a ceremony held at 9:30 am on Monday, December 19, 2011.  Fr. Michael addressed those in attendance, explaining that "we are going back to the future by restoring the Residence program on Campus".  St. Francis High School had a boarding component from 1927 up until 1988.

    The new residence is located in a portion of the third floor of Justin Hall, and has space to accommodate 26 resident students.  There are currently 20 students living in the residence and five more students will be moving in at the beginning of the new year.
     
    Fr. Michael thanked all those involved in the project which moved very quickly.  Demolition began in May of 2011, followed by construction throughout the summer. The residence officially opened to students on September 1, 2011, just in time for the start of the new school year.
