Animation Portfolio Workshop: Session 1 (In-Person)

Our most popular program! Session 1 takes students through 38 weeks of live, comprehensive, and interactive instruction to teach you how to draw and build your best animation portfolio yet. Classes take place Saturdays and Sundays from April 15th to August 27th, 2023

Our class consists of two modules: Life Drawing for Animation and Drawing for Animation.

These two modules cover all of the required drawings in an animation portfolio and together make up a typical session of the Animation Portfolio Workshop. One day of classes has a three hour Life Drawing for Animation class, a lunch break and a three hour Drawing for Animation class.

Near the end of the course, we begin Portfolio Reviews. Here we will help you select your best drawings for your animation portfolio submissions in the fall. Our class concludes well before portfolio submission due dates to top animation schools. Successful entrance portfolios submitted in late February – to early March can receive offers of admission for programs starting in September.
