Animation Portfolio Workshop: Summer Intensive (Online)

The Summer Intensive format offers a unique learning environment. Class size is limited to maximize engagement for each student and focus on the needs of each individual. Extended private and personal critique sessions offer input and feedback to each student while thoroughly covering drawing practise and portfolio crafting. This intense format makes it ideal for a student who is able to thrive in a focused, intensified delivery pace of our full program curriculum.

The program is delivered online over 38 sessions. We start with an intensive over the summer then move to weekly classes on Tuesdays for the fall. 

Our class consists of two modules: Life Drawing for Animation and Drawing for Animation.

These two modules cover all of the required drawings in an animation portfolio and together make up a typical session of the Animation Portfolio Workshop. One day of classes has a three hour Life Drawing for Animation class, a lunch break and a three hour Drawing for Animation class.

Near the end of the course, we begin Portfolio Reviews. Here we will help you select your best drawings for your animation portfolio submissions in the fall. Our class concludes well before portfolio submission due dates to top animation schools. Successful entrance portfolios submitted in late February – to early March can receive offers of admission for programs starting in September.
