Environment Centre Day Camp

During this week of camp, kids will participate in active and engaging outdoor experiences. Campers will use the Environment Centre as a cozy home base from which to explore the Trent Nature Area. The focus of this camp is to explore the outdoors, learn new skills, create natural crafts, play fun & challenging games that develop sensory awareness and an appreciation of nature.

Sample Activities

• Traditional skills (fire making, outdoor cooking, animal tracking, shelter building)
• Nature based games and crafts
• Wetland Investigations
• Swimming
• Timeless exploration in nature!

Our experienced staff team creates a safe and supportive environment, encouraging kids’ natural curiosity, and creativity, while providing opportunities to make new friends. Campers will have opportunities to work and play in groups by age and as a whole camp.

Important Notes:

- Environment Centre Day Camp #1 is only 4 days (Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri). There will be no day camp on Wed, July 1st (Canada Day).
- Environment Centre Day Camp #5 is only 4 days (Tues, Wed, Thurs & Fri). There will be no day camp on Mon, Aug 3 (Civic Monday).
