When campers at Camp Omagh read the Bible together, gather around a campfire, swing a baseball bat or sing wonderful praises, they are creating memories and friendships that become the framework of a vibrant Christian life. In a rapidly changing world, Christian camping builds Christ-like communities.
Camp Omagh is following the Ontario Public Health recommendations in protecting the spread of Covid-19. The recommendations by Ontario Public Health can be found here: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/public-health-measures
As of this posting, in Ontario there are no vaccination requirements, and as such Camp Omagh will not be checking vaccination certificates at this time. Ontario Public Health has also deemed that masking is now optional and so if you want to send your child to Camp Omagh with masks for them to use, that is completely fine.
We encourage parents to be responsible and not send their children to Camp Omagh for the week should they exhibit any Covid-related symptoms within 14 days of their stay, and highly endorse testing your child before dropping them off at the camp for the week.
Before dropping off your child, please follow the Ontario Public Health school screening and if directed to not go to school/child care, please do not bring your child to camp:

If your child is unable to attend, please let us know via phone (905-878-9156) or email ([email protected]).
Should a camper exhibit symptoms of Covid-19, that camper will be immediately isolated and parents/guardians will be made aware of the symptoms. Is Camp Omagh technology free? Like many traditional summer camps, Camp Omagh asks campers to “unplug” from technology so they can more easily “plug in” to their new camp community. By leaving technology at home, campers engage more quickly and are more poised to take advantage of the fun, friends and adventure offered by Camp Omagh. Campers develop friendships that are not dependent on social media and gaming. They grow to better understand the expressions and feelings of others. Campers remark that they notice more about their surroundings, are more creative and feel relieved of the constant pressure/stress they feel from Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter. Gadgets to be left at home include anything that requires charging or plugging in like cell phones, tablets, laptops, mp3 players, electronic games, etc.
