    About Camp Wabun

    Wabun was founded by eight teacher/coaches in 1933 and is now in its 90th season of providing boys and girls with the opportunity to travel magnificent remote waterways. Campers enjoy the interdependence of small canoeing groups while developing wilderness camping, cooking and leadership skills that underlie the fun and reward of living comfortably in the wild.

    It is my great pleasure and privilege to welcome your family into the Wabun community and I look forward to helping you prepare for the upcoming summer and the exceptional experience that lies in store. Our goal at Wabun is to provide a wilderness canoe tripping opportunity respectfully rooted in techniques native to the people of the Temagami region that deepens individual leadership capacity, nurtures joyful interpersonal connection, and inspires a lifelong reverence for the natural world. This packet is intended to provide nuts-and-bolts information that will set you off on the right foot toward camp.
